The selection competition of Shandong provincial Zhengda Cup vocational skills competition of catering industry in Shandong Province was held in Qingdao on September 22 and 156 contestants from Qingdao participated in the competition. Two teachers of the Dept. of Culinary Arts, won the gold medal of Chinese cooking project.
According to the requirements of the competition, Ren Chuansheng and Wang Qingquan respectively produced four dishes, including Fried Fish Shreds with Matsutake, Cold Dishes for state banquet, Qinyu Sea Cucumber and Jinghuayuan. With their superb skills, the two teachers won the unanimous praise of the judges and won the gold medal in the competition. Next, they will represent Qingdao in the Finals held in Jinan.
The competition was jointly organized by Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, Shandong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, Shandong Provincial Federation of Trade Unions and other government departments, and hosted by Shandong cuisine Association.
