The students win the second prize in the national finals of the 4th "PEAK TIME" Hotel Management Simulation Contest

The national finals of the 4th "PEAK TIME" Hotel Management Simulation Contest was held in Zhongshan University (Zhuhai Campus) from November 22 to 24. "Lingya" team including Xie Zhitao, Wang Haitao, Zhou Wen and Song Yu majoring in hotel management won the second prize ,and Zhang Feng and Zhang Peng got the honorary title of excellent instructor.

The results of the preliminary contest of the fourth “PEAK TIME" Hotel Management Simulation Contest (cesim) in 2019 were announced on November 9. As the only representative of Vocational Colleges, "Lingya" team of our college, together with 385 elite teams, is qualified to participate in the contest. More than 1500 senior undergraduates and researchers are from 66 double first-class and undergraduate colleges in China, including Zhongshan University, Xiamen University etc.

The national finals are divided into three parts: simulation operation (45%), English team presentation (10%) and business presentation (45%). Making good use of the experience of the internship of international hotels, Lingya team overcame the difficulties of English team display and business demonstration on site, and finally won the second prize of the nation with the total score of No. 15.

About PEAK TIME" Hotel Management Simulation Contest 

PEAK TIME" is originated from a world-famous business simulation competition launched by Finland. Since its introduction into China in 2008, it has successfully held 11 national contests, becoming a well-known international business simulation contest in China, attracting many national first-class universities including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Zhongshan University, etc. Nearly 150 colleges and universities all over the country, with tens of thousands of students participate in the contest. And Hotel Management Simulation Contest is derived on this basis.

PEAK TIME" Hotel Management Simulation Contest uses the “Hospitality” hotel management simulation platform developed by CESIM of Finland to simulate and operate an international hotel as a senior manager of the hotel, aiming to improve the team cooperation ability and decision-making management ability of the participants and break the barrier of theory and practice. It focuses on the comprehensive abilities of the players in the hotel management, including market environment judgment, sales strategy, revenue management, cost control, staffing and three financial statement analysis.
