The Opening Ceremony of First Sino-Australian Class of Hotel Management

The opening ceremony of Sino-Australian Class of the hotel management major of Grade 2019 was held at Training Center of the Dept.of Tourism and Hotel Management on  September 20.

Jia Feixia, Director of Global Strategic Development of TAFE SA, Li Da, Secretary of the Party Committee, and others attended the opening ceremony, which was hosted by Shi Meishan, Vice President of the Dept. of Tourism and Hotel Management.

Li Da expressed his congratulations on the establishment of the first Sino-Australian Class. He introduced the friendly cooperative relationship between the two schools and the course of the declaration of the cooperative school-running projects, and put forward earnest advice and expectations to the freshmen of Sino-Australian classes. He hoped that the students would strive to grow into high-quality technical and skilled professionals who are familiar with international norms, have an international vision and participate in international competition.

Jia Feixia brought a message video from David Coltman, president of TAFE SA, to the students of Sino-Australian Class. She introduced the high-quality education resources of TAFE SA and looked forward to students’bright future.

At the opening ceremony, we watched the video of Sino-Australian class students' elegant demeanor display which highlighted the positive vitality of freshmen. Yin Ping, the head of hotel management, and Liu Yong, the new student representative, spoke in English respectively. On behalf of the freshmen, Liu Yong expressed her determination to improve English and professional skills. Wang Mengfan presented Jia Feixia with hand-made traditional planar woodcarving as a souvenir.

About Our Cooperation with TAFE SA

Since 2015, TAFE SA and we have established friendly cooperative relations. In line with the principle of resource sharing and win-win cooperation, the two sides have exchanged visits and exchanges on many occasions. The two sides formally signed a memorandum of cooperation between sister schools and held the unveiling ceremony of sister colleges last year. The Sino-foreign cooperative school-running project of hotel management specialty sponsored by the TAFE SA and QVTCHM, was approved by the Education Department of Shandong Province last May. We have made full preparations for the cooperative school-running project. A total of 21 teachers have passed the certificate training of TAE level 4 in Australia. Nine professional teachers have studied in TAFE SA for one semester.
