The opening ceremony and entrance education for overseas students in autumn semester of 2019 were held on the morning of September 11. Wang Jianbao, Vice President of the College, Zhou Li, Director of the International Office, Dong Ruihu, Director of Basic Education Department, attended the ceremony. There’re also nine foreign students from Honam University, Hyejeon College and Cheju Tourism College, South Korea.
At the opening ceremony, Wang Jianbao delivered a speech on behalf of the College. He warmly welcomed the arrival of foreign students and introduced the development and teaching characteristics of the College. He said that the College has arranged a variety of courses and cultural experience activities for students this semester. He believed that they will further deepen their understanding of Chinese language and culture, and become the youth ambassador of cultural exchange and civilization between China and Korea.
Jin Zhicheng from Honam University, on behalf of all the overseas students, thanked the college for the careful arrangement and said that they would study hard and live up to its expectations.
After the ceremony, in order to make the overseas students adapt to the study and life as soon as possible, strengthen and standardize the daily management, and promote the pace of assimilation management, the college has carried out entrance education for the overseas students about teaching management, dormitory management, student management, security and others.
We have arranged a variety of courses such as Chinese conversation, Chinese language knowledge and Chinese cooking courses. In addition, in order to enable foreign students to experience profound traditional Chinese culture, we will arrange cultural experience activities once a month.
