Sculpture Awards at the 2019 Qingdao Lantern Festival Fair

Teachers and students of Department of Culinary Arts won many awards for sculpture at the Qingdao Lantern Festival Fair in 2019.

According to the Organizing Committee of Qingdao Lantern Festival Fair, Ding Delong, a young teacher from Department of Culinary Arts, led the students to win two first prizes, five second prizes, one third prize and one excellent prize in the radish sculpture competition. Among them, Ding Delong's work Building Dreams and Moving Forward won the first prize.

 In 2019, Qingdao Lantern Festival Fair last for eight days, during which the radish sculpture contest and Lantern Festival production contest were held. More than 130 artistic teams were recruited and selected for performances. At the same time, intangible cultural heritage projects at the national, provincial and municipal levels were also invited to show off their works. In order to highlight the evolution and inheritance of traditional crafts, promote traditional culture, and display the city's memory, this year's festival activities highlight the theme of culture, with the promotion of traditional culture as the main line of activities. The teachers and students displayed wonderful sculptures and won the applause of the audience.

Teachers and students’ performance and prizes are a manifestation of recent teaching achievements. Through the competition, teachers and students broadened their horizons, exercised and improved their sculpture skills, demonstrated the style of teachers and students in our college.
