QVTCHM wins bronze in “Student Support Services”at the 2018 World Congress


The 2018 World Congress took place in Melbourne, Australia from October 8-10. QVTCHM won World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) “Award of Excellence” because of her outstanding contributions in student support services. 8 vocational colleges among 21 Award recipients are from China.

Hosted by Australian TAFEs, the Congress brought together over 800 delegates from community colleges and polytechnics from around the world and experts in professional and vocational education and training. It focused on action based solutions to these challenges which millions of vocational and professional students world-wide face.

The bi-annual congress is the hallmark of the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics. Every two years, educators, policy makers, and leaders in education gather in a member country to hear the latest trends, best practices, and network with their peers in the professional and technical education and training sector.

WFCP “Award of Excellence”

It was set up in 2004 and elected every two years. There’re 7 awards including Access to Learning and Employment, Applied Research and Innovation, Higher Technical Skills, Green Colleges, Leadership Development, Entrepreneurship and Student Support Services. The WFCP Awards of Excellence honor and support higher standards in applied education and are an opportunity to showcase and foster best practices in this sector.
